Tatiana Prieto was born in Colombia and has been living in France for six years. Since her adolescence, the arrival of a camera in her life quickly revealed to her the importance that this object would take on in her life, both personally and professionally. With her faithful box of images, she explores the world of the street in her native country before opening up to new imaginaries in France.
Nostalgia, passion, and the quest for identity fuel her creative spirit, and are elements that transcend her photographs. Her work features vibrant colors, populated by unique characters and moments frozen in time, which she unveils with a unique sensitivity. She has this profession in her guts.
This love for imagery translates into photography, but also into filmmaking and editing, ranging from fiction to documentary and recently including music videos.
Through audiovisual media and her love of music, she leads numerous projects inspired by the people around her, especially women and queer individuals.
Engaged in the feminist struggle, at the heart of the scenes in Montpellier and Paris, Tatiana Prieto is the co-founder, alongside Gotis (a Montpellier-based DJ and producer), of the collective Nuit Brune. Together, they work to create vibrant, queer spaces in their own image.
